Ingredients for Kadhi

  • Curd ½ kg beaten
  • Coriander leaves ¼ bunch
  • Turmeric powder ½ tsp
  • Coconut powder 2 tbsp
  • Gram flour 3 tbsp heaped
  • Green chilies 6 grinded
  • Garlic 1 tbsp grinded
  • Salt 1 tsp

Ingredients for Temper:

  • Whole cumin 1 tsp
  • Whole red chilies 6
  • Garlic 4 cloves chopped
  • Onion 1 sliced
  • Curry leaves as required
  • Oil ¼ cup

 

 

Ingredients for Pakora

Gram flour 1 cup
Green chilies 3 chopped
Coriander leaves 2 tbsp chopped
Onion coarsely ½ cup chopped
White cumin seeds 1 tsp
Spring onion ½ cup chopped
Salt ½ tsp
Water to make batter
Baking soda ¼ tsp
Oil for deep frying

 

METHOD FOR KARHI:

Grind coriander, green chilies to a fine paste. Beat curd, add in 3 cups water, gram flour, salt and the rest, mix well and cook stirring continuously till boil comes, let it cool on slow fire till thick.

METHOD FOR TEMPER:

Heat oil, fry onion until brown, add in all the rest and fry till golden then put in curry and cover the lid immediately.

 

METHOD FOR PAKORA:

Mix all together in a bowl in a dropping consistency, deep fry pakoras in hot oil. Add to the curry.

Ingredients:

  • Porridge toasted 2 cups
  • Almonds ½ cup
  • Walnuts ½ cup
  • Butter 4 tbsp
  • Chocolate grated ½ cup

 

Ingredients for Filling:

  • Eggs 2 separated
  • Cream 500 gm
  • Chopped nuts ½ cup
  • Biscuits crushed 1 ½ cup
  • Vanilla essence 1 tsp
  • Caster sugar 2 ounce
  • Gelatin 1 tbsp dissolved in ¼ cup water
  • Cocoa powder 1tbsp
  • Chocolate chips 2 tbsp
  • Chocolate 2 ounce
  • Butter 2 ounce
  • Fudge sauce for decoration

 

METHOD:

Put toasted porridge in a bowl, crushed in hand, mix in melted butter, melted chocolate, mix well, put in a greased dish, and freeze for 10 mins till set.

METHOD:

Melt butter and chocolate, add in coco with beaten egg yolks and sugar, cook for 2 mins, and remove from heat. Beat cream, crush biscuits and nuts, in your butter and chocolate mixture, mix in biscuits, nuts, dissolved gelatin, fold in fresh cream.Lastly fold in stiffly beaten egg whites and chocolate chips, put over porridge base, set in freezer till firm, decorate top with fudge sauce and nuts, serve chilled.

  • Rice 1 ½ cup soaked
  • Red lentil ½ cup
  • Onion 1 sliced
  • Cumin seeds ½ tsp
  • Mixed whole spices 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric ½ tsp
  • Oil ¼ cup

 

METHOD:

Heat oil add whole spices, sliced onion, fry till light golden, add in tumeric, soaked rice and red lentil, fry for 1 min, add enough water, cover and cook till done, serve with curry.
