Ingredients:
- Rice ½ kg
- Boiled beef ½ kg
- Potato ½ kg
- Ginger 1 piece
- Garlic 8 cloves
- Ginger and garlic paste 2 tbsp
- Salt 1½ tsp
- Onion 1
- Fennel seeds 1 tsp
- Whole coriander 1 tsp
- Green chilies 12
- Bay leaves 2
- Mint leaves ½ bunch
- Whole black pepper 1 tsp
- Ingredients for dum:
- Black cumin 2 tsp
- Onion 1 cup
- StarAnise 4
- Whole black pepper 2 tsp
- Fennel seeds 2 tsp
- Whole coriander 2 tsp
- Oil ½ cup
- Water 6 glasses
- Fried onions 1 cup
- Water as required
- All spice powder 1 tsp
Method:
- Fry onion in oil in a wok until it turns golden brown.
- Then add salt, fennel seeds, star anise, ginger and garlic paste, black cumin, whole black pepper, anise star, curry leaves, potato and whole coriander to the wok. Let the potatoes cook till they are half done.
- Then add green chilies.
- Add in boiled beef and rice in the wok. Leave it for steaming.
- When rice simmers then add and fennel seeds crushed.
- Now add fry onion and mint leaves from top and leave it on dum. Then
- Cook on low flame till meat get tender. Then separate meat from stock.
- In another pan heat oil and fry onion. Now add and meat, sauté well. Then add. When they cook well then add stock and soaked rice. When rice simmer then add and fennel seeds crushed. Now add fry onion and mint leaves from top and leave it on dum. Then mix and turn off the flame.
