INDIAN STYLE CHICKEN SATAY
Ingredients for Chicken
- Chicken cubes ½ kg
- Salt 1 tsp
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
- Chili powder 1 tsp
- Black pepper ½ tsp
- Soy sauce 2 tbsp
- Ketchup 2 tbsp
- Schezwan sauce 2 tbsp
- Skewer sticks as per need
Ingredients for Batter:
- Corn flour 2 tbsp
- Flour 2 tbsp
- Egg 1
- Salt ¼ tsp
- Black pepper ¼ tsp
- Oil for frying
Ingredients for Sauce:
- Oil ¼ cup
- Crushed garlic 2 tbsp
- Schezwan sauce 2 tbsp
- Vinegar 2 tbsp
- Ketchup 2 tbsp
- Soy sauce 2 tbsp
- Crushed red pepper 1 tsp
- Crushed black pepper ½ tsp
- Salt ¼ tsp
- Honey 2 tbsp
- Red color a pinch
- Corn flour 1 tsp
- Water 2 tbsp
- Orange color a pinch
- Water ½ cup
MEHOD FOR CHICKEN:
- Marinate chicken cubes with salt, ginger garlic, chili powder, black pepper, soy sauce, ketchup and schezwan sauce, leave it for 1 hour.
- Pierce through chicken cubes using wooden skewers.
- Dip in the prepared batter and deep fry in fry pan.
- Remove and keep aside.
METHOD FOR BATTER:
- Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and prepare the batter.
METHOD FOR SAUCE:
- Heat ¼ cup oil and fry crushed garlic until light golden.
- Add in all the remaining ingredients and fry for 2 minutes.
- Then add water, thicken with corn flour paste, add honey and color.
- Toss the chicken skewers in the sauce and get a fine coat of the sauce on the chicken skewers.
- Serve in a platter and garnish it with chopped greens and spring onion leaves.
