Ingredients:
- Potato (shredded and mashed) 500 gm
- Onion (chopped) ½
- Egg 1
- Garlic (minced) 1 tbsp
- Cornstarch 3 tbsp
- Salt, black pepper to taste
- Cheddar cheese (grated) 1 cup
- Breadcrumbs 1/2 cup
- Oil for frying
- Sour cream to serve
- Green onion (chopped) 1 (to serve)
Method:
Add the grated potatoes and chopped onion to a large bowl. Add in the egg, garlic, cornstarch, salt, pepper, cheese, and breadcrumbs and mix until combined. Take ½ cup of the potato mixture and form into a thin patty, about ⅓-inch thick. Heat cooking oil over medium-high heat and place potato patty into the skillet. Cook for 3-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy on the outside. Repeat with remaining patties. Serve with sour cream and green onions on top.
Ingredients:
- Garlic (sliced) 2 cloves (large)
- Dried oregano 1 tsp
- Dried basil 1 tsp
- Dried thyme 1 tsp
- Salt ½ tsp
- Black pepper ½ tsp
- Olive oil ½ cup
- Italian bread (cubes) 1
- Cheese (grated) 1 cup
Method:
Cut the Italian bread in cubes. Then add garlic, dried oregano, dried basil, dried thyme, salt, black pepper, olive oil and grated cheese. Mix well. Now add this mixture in the greased baking tray and bake it in a preheated oven at 180 c for about 5-7 minutes. Lastly serve.
