Aalu Anar Dana Karahi & Spicy Broast Fish Recipe | Masala Morning | Shireen Anwar | 16 June 2023

Ingredients

  • Fish whole fillet 1 kg
  • Vinegar ¼ cup
  • Egg 1
  • Green chili grinded 1 ½ tsp
  • Salt 1-½ tsp
  • Crushed garlic 1 tsp

Dry Ingredients

  • Flour 1-½ cup
  • Bread crumbs 1 cup
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Baking powder 1 tsp
  • Chili powder 1 tsp
  • Garlic powder 1 tsp
  • Oil for frying

METHOD
Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl very well, pick up the fish from marination, coat well in dry mixture so that the look of fish looks like broast, keep in a plate then deep fry until golden brown, serve with fries and broast sauce.

METHOD FOR MARINATION
Mix all very well in a bowl and marinate fish in this for 1 hour.

  • Baby potatoes peeled and boiled 1 kg
  • Butter 4 ounce
  • Oil ¼ cup
  • Green chilies 7 to 8
  • Coriander leaves ½ bunch
  • Pomegranate seeds crushed 2 tbsp
  • White cumin crushed 1 tbsp
  • Coriander crushed 1 tsp
  • Chili powder 1-½ tsp
  • Crushed red pepper 1-½ tsp
  • Turmeric ½ tsp

METHOD
Heat ½ cup oil and 2 tbsp butter in a wok, add baby potatoes boiled and fry for 5 mins, add dry spices with chopped green chilies and half cup water, cover and cook, lastly add 3 green chilies slices, Pomegranate seeds crushed, stir well to coat masala on aalu, remove in a serving karahi, garnish with chopped greens.
