Karela Daal Channa recipe by Shireen Anwar is to be deliciously cooked at live cooking show “Masala Mornings” on Masala TV only.
Ingredients:
- Karela ½ kg pealed sliced
- Chana daal boiled 1 cup
- Ginger garlic paste 1½ tsp
- Chili powder 1½ tsp
- Salt 1 tsp
- Turmeric ½ tsp
- Coriander powder 1½ tsp
- Brown ½ cup
- Yogurt ¾ cup
- Coriander leaves 2 tbsp
- Green chilies chopped 4
- Kalonji ½ tsp
- Oil ½ cup
Method:
1. Scrape the karelas rub salt.
2. Boil with tamarind and fry.
3. Heat oil; add brown onion with all the dried spices, yogurt.
4. Fry well add boiled daal with fried karelas.
5. Cook for 10 mins on dum.
6. Lastly add chopped coriander and green chilies.
