Malida is a healthy sweet dish made of whole wheat flour, butter, semolina, dry fruits and other healthy ingredients. This nutritious meetha is good for kids and pregnant women.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Semolina                                1 cup
  • Wheat flour                           2 cups
  • Clarified butter                      ½ cup
  • Luke warm water                  as required
  • Clarified butter                      as required
  • Mix sliced nuts                      as required
  • Cardamom powder               1 tsp
  • Sugar                                      1 ½ cup
  • Piping hot clarified butter    1 cup
  • Coconut milk powder           4 tbsp
  • Almond and pistachio           as per choice

 

 

 

 

 

 

METHOD:

  • In a bowl add semolina and wheat flour; mix well.
  • Then mix in clarified butter and crumble it well in a chopper.
  • Knead with luke warm water to a medium hard dough.
  • Roll into thick rotis and cook these on a tawa on medium-low heat until nice, golden and crispy.
  • Let cool and chop these in a chopper.
  • Place the ground Malida in a thaal.
  • Mix in sliced nuts and cardamom powder.
  • Mix in sugar and make a well in the center.
  • Pout piping hot clarified butter and mix well.
