Moong Gosht is an ever so classic and traditional desi dish that there is always a room to have some more of it! Try it with this recipe and have Moong Gosht differently!

Ingredients:

  • Split green gram 1 cup
  • Beef ½ kg
  • Whole all spice 1 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Tomatoes 3
  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tbsp
  • All spice powder 1tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil ½ cup
  • Fried onions 2
  • Fried onion for garnish
  • Green chilies for garnish
  • Green coriander for garnish
  • Ginger for garnish

Method:
Heat oil then fry beef with ginger garlic paste and whole all spice. Now add tomatoes, fried onion, all powdered spices and cook till meat gets half done. Then split green gram and cook. When it gets tender and all water dries out then add all spice powder. Garnish with fried onion, ginger, green chilies and green coriander

Ingredients:

  • apple 1/2 kg
  • Clarified butter 4 tbsp
  • Sugar ¼ cup
  • Cinnamon powder ¼ tsp
  • Cardamom powder ¼ tsp
  • Nutmeg powder ⅛ tsp
  • Food color 1/8 tsp
  • Sliced almonds to garnish

 

Method:
Firstly, cut the apples and grate. Then in a large wok heat clarified butter, add in grated apple and mix well. Keep stirring until the juice from apple is released.
further, add ¼ cup sugar, food color and mix well. Keep stirring and the sugar dissolves. Cook until the halwa separates from the pan. Now add ¼ tsp cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg powder and mix well. Lastly, garnish with almonds. Serve.
